What does Solar Victoria offer?
Eligible businesses can apply for a $3,500 rebate to install solar panels and they can also opt to have an interest-free loan of up to $5,000.
In addition to this, they also offer an interest-free loan from $1,000 to $5,000. This is payable for 12-24 months.
CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY
- There should be at least one employee of the business, not including the owner, and less than 50 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees.
- The premises they are operating is a non-residential.
- The premises they are operating is individually metered.
- Have not received a Solar for Business rebate
- The system will be installed by an approved Solar Victoria solar retailer.
- The solar system size should have an inverter capacity size of up to 30 kW.
- Businesses on the rental property can also apply for the rebate.
What should I do to get started?
Step 1: Make sure you understand the Solar for Business rebate and have checked your eligibility.

Step 3: Complete your application by providing your quote number from your solar retailer, contact details, ABN, WorkCover Employer Number, and your Certified Reteable Remuneration. If you plan to apply for the interest free loan, you’ll need to provide details about the business and its beneficial owner(s).
Step 4: Once you are confirmed as eligible, you may contact your retailer to proceed and book the installation with them. On the day of installation, your accredited installer is required to scan the QR code contained in your eligibility confirmation email at the commencement of the installation.
