Spent six and a half hours of space walk at the last Sunday to install powerful solar panels in the International Space Station to accommodate upcoming space tourism. Thomas Pesquet (French astronaut) and NASA astronaut Colonel (retired) Shane Kimbrough performed the installation of the full 19 meters length solar panels. Megan McArthur radioed these words to the two astronauts,
“Remember: You are butterflies with biceps today.”
The two managed to do these hard works while the rest of the world was celebrating Father’s Day. Colonel Kimbrough greeted “Happy Father’s Day” to all flight controller dads and thanked everyone for working with them on a Sunday.
The new solar wing will give an electrical-boost to the aging station to keep it running for the rest of the decade. A Russian film crew is scheduled to launch the orbiting outpost from Kazakhstan and will be followed by a string of rich business people.
